FIRST PLACE WAHOO: Kelly Grant, of Canada, landed a 41-pound wahoo aboard the boat Fortuna to win $1,800.

Close to 400 anglers on a fleet of 100-plus boats set out from two ports — Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo — for day two of the sixth annual Los Cabos Big Game Charter Boat Classic. Only visiting anglers on Los Cabos charter boats are allowed to compete in the Charter Classic.

The wind picked up on Wednesday, November 14, making it tough for some of the smaller charter boats to reach their desired fishing destinations. Strong sea legs, or a couple Dramamine, were necessary on day two. Hopefully, the uncharacteristic wind calms down for the final two days of the event.

Lines-in began promptly at 7 a.m., with lines out at 2:30 p.m.
