The final two tournaments of the 2026 Hawaii Marlin Tournament Series delivered big fish, a dramatic last-day charge and a fitting reminder of what Kona can do
Dates: August 16 – 20, 2027
The Hawaii Marlin Tournament Series finale wraps up in September each year, in a tournament format that mimics the way series points are accrued throughout the season. One point per pound is given for weighed marlin above 400 pounds, plus 165 points for tagged blue or black marlin, 100 points for tagged striped marlin, and one point for every pound exceeding 100 for weighed ahi. The event culminates with the crowning of HMTS Champions in both angler and boat categories.
